1.When   Rama   fell   silent   after   the   speech   full   of   meaning,   Bharata   spoke   the   following
agreeable   words   to   Rama,   who   was   fond   of   people.

2.Bharata   told   Rama   that   there   can   be   no   person   like   him   in   this   world.   Sorrow   will   not torment   him   nor   joy   bring   exhilaration.

3.Bharata   told   Rama   that   though   the   elders   regarded   him   highly,   he   refers   doubts   to   them.

4.Bharata   told   Rama   that   one   who   had   developed   an   attitude   of   mind   by   which   though   living he   is   as   good   as   dead   and   which   makes   him   indifferent   to   the   existent   and   non-existent, wherefore   should   he   grieve.

6.Bharata   told   Rama   that   he   is   equal   to   gods   in   valour,   true   to   promise,   all-knowing   and all-seeing   and   wise.

7.Bharata   told   Rama   that   being   endowed   with   virtues   and   knowledge   of   the   origin   and   end of   all   living   beings,   difficulties   ought   to   not   assail   him.

9.Bharata   told   Rama   that   the   sinful   deed   of   Kaikeyi   was   done   while   he   was   away   and   is unimaginable.   He   told   Rama   to   be   gracious   to   him.
