`O! Rama! One
of Mighty arms! In this
place, the best among gods,
the master Lord Vishnu,
who is the inner-being of
everyone, who cannot be understood
easily as regards his essential
nature by the living, who
bears the entire universe,
who is the master of all
the worlds, in a manner
that dazzles the worlds
stayed here, engaging in severe
austerities and Yoga practices,
for long long years running into
hundreds of aeons (2-3).

`O! Rama! This
hermitage is the early abode
of that high-souled Vamana. In
this place that one, given
to great penance, attained realisation.
Hence, this came to be
known as `Sidhasrama' (4).

all the three worlds by
defeating all the gods together
with Indra and the Maruts
