When Rama had

superior bow and was
armed with
it and the whole universe
had come to a stand-still,
this son of
Jamadagni became powerless and
(Parasu)rama intently
looked at (Sri)
Rama (11).

The son of
Jamadagni having lost his
valour due to the prowess
(of Rama) and hence, rendered dumbfounded,
spoke haltingly to Rama, whose
eyes were rivalling with
the red lotus. What a
pity! (12).

me! May you protect me!
O! Rama! May you
listen to my words! In
the days of yore, when the
Rajasuya sacrifice was performed,
O! Son of Dasaratha! I had
gifted the entire earth
to Kasyapa and Kasyapa had
said that I shall not reside
in his country (13-14).

was also gifted to Kasyapa and
this promise was also given. What a

many worlds
which are without a parallel.
May you appropriate

to yourself, through the
discharge of this great arrow.
And in that, let there
be no delay (17).
