the Apana.The
very Prana resides in the
eye , the ear , the
mouth and the nose.
In the centre is Samana, which distributes
the food offered equitably
to all parts, whence arise
the seven tongues of flame ( represented
by

In the heart
dwells the Atman. There
are a hundred and one
nerves in the heart. From these hundred and one
nerves a hundred nerves
each branch off. From these hundred nerves each arise
seventy two
thousand nerves . In all these the air by name Vyana moves.
