LISTENING STAGE 1 : 0 to 6 months

Little baby, hello  ..... !   Call the baby by her name and smile at her. Hello Kutty .... !  Make bathing a lot of fun. Splash ..... splash ...... ! Talk and sing to the baby. La.. la.. la... Rock-a-by-baby .... !

STAGE 2 : 6 to 12 months

Shake a rattle  Encourage the child to listen to different sounds. Listen to this rattle baby .... !  Play finger games with rhymes and songs. Clap ... clap ... !  Talk about objects. See this doll baby ... !

STAGE 3 : 12 to 18 months

Ask the baby for well known objects. Get your shoes baby ... !  Name parts of the body for him to touch. Touch your head ... !  Make different noises when you play. Beep ... miaow ... moo .. ! Give the baby choices. Do you want the car or the doll .. ?

STAGE 4 : 18 to 36 months

Tell the baby what you are doing. Mum is washing dolly ... !  Build and knock down towers. Wait...  now, 1, 2, 3 GO ... !  Play musical bumps.   Copy simple rhythms. Rub-a-dub rub-a-dub ... !

STAGE 5 : 3 to 5 years
