Hold and sing to the child. Tea-la-la ... !    Talk to the child constantly Ba-ba-ba - Ba-ba-ba .... !    Making bathing fun Splash ... splash .. !     Play peek-a-boo. Here I am ... !

Get down to the child's level to talk. Here is your milk ... !    Respond to the baby's sounds. Aaaa - Oh, you want some  bread ... ?   Use your voice with expression. Ooo ! LOOK at YOU ... !    Use "sound" words. Splash, splash ... !

Play games with sounds. Vrooom, beep, beep ... !    Make your voice go high and low when speaking. Oh ! the tower is SO HIGH ... !    Take note when thw child makes sounds. Copy them. Ma -ma - ma ... Ma -ma - ma ... !   Point out noises and make them yourself. Look at the dog. Bow-wow-wow ... !

Make faces and sounds in a mirror for the child to copy. Oooh, Aaah ... Oooh, Aaah ... !  Help the child to ask for things. You want milk, baby ... ?  Give the child choice. You want a banana or an orange ... ! Put interesting objects in a bag for him to pull out and name. A cup ! ... That's right, it's a cup .. !

Emphasize certain words for him to learn. Wear your jumper ... Wash you head ... Wear your hat ... !    Hide objects and ask which one is missing. Which is missing ?  The hat ... !    Teach him and show him action words. Sweeping ... Cooking ... Dancing ... !    Tell him known stories. You see, it was like this ... !
