One   sage   made   over   the   ochre   robes,   another   the   tree-bark-garment,   a   third upon   becoming   greatly   happy   gave   a   thread   to   tie   the   matted   hairs   and another   gave   a   rope   for   tying   up   fire-wood   bundle,   another   gave   a   sacrificial pot,   one   sage   gave   a   bundle   of   faggots   and   a   seat   made   of   fig-wood,   along with   it.   Others   at   that   time   showered   benedictions   on   them   (23-24).

Once   the   prior-born   (elder   brother)   to   Bharatha,   i.e.   Sri   Rama   chanced   to see   these   two   singers(Kusa   and   Lava),who   were
praised   in   all   places   like highways,   streets   etc;   and   who   were   experts   in   singing   all   tunes,   singing extremely   well   this   life-story   (Ramayana)   which   was   exquisitely   composed by   tha   sage(Valmiki),   which   acts   as   the   ideal   basis   for   the   compositions of   all   poets,   has   been   completed   in   proper   order   and   (is)   capable   of
bestowing   (on   the   one   who   resorts   to   it)   astonishingly   good
and   long life-span,   a   great   nourisher   and   capable   of   winning
the   ears   and   the   hearts of   all   (26-28).
