27,28,29.Prahasta,   on   orders   received   from   Ravana,   climbed   the   chariot   yoked   with   horses   with   freat   speed,   driven   by   skilled   charioter,   which   thundered   like   a   cloud,   shone   like   the   very   sun   and   moon,   an   ensign   difficult   to   overpower   with   a   serpent   on   distinguished   mast,   with   lovely   wheels,   with   a   net   of   gold,   as   if   laughing   with   its   splendour,   and   set   out   from   Lanka   surrounded   by   a   huge   army.

30,31.Even   as   the   commander-in-chief   departed   a   roll   of   kettle   drums,   sounds   of   musical   instruments   as   if   making   the   sea   turbid   and   the   sound   of   conches   were   heard.
