14.The   charioteer   told   Ravana   to   please   listen   to   the   reason   why   the   chariot   was   taken   back   from   the   battle   like   the   on   rush   of   a   river   is   pushed   back.

15.The   charioteer   told   Ravana   that   while   he   understood   Ravana's   exhaustion   due   to   strenuous   fighting,   he   did   not   notice   any   brightness   in   the   face   or   joy   in   Ravana.

18,19,20.The   charioteer   told   Ravana   that   by   a   charioteer   seated   in   a   chariot   must   know   the   time   and   place,   good   and   bad   omens,   facial   expressions   of   the   warrior   seated   in   the   chariot,   depressions,   fatigue,   liveliness,   strength   and   weaknesses;   of   the   earth's   surface   depressions   and   level   places   and   parts   which   are   rugged;   time   for   battle   and   the   visible   weak   points   of   enemies,   when   to   advance   and   when   to   recede,   maintaining   the   position   and   how   to   make   a   good   retreat,   all   these   must   know.
