âòùªùèéë   (your) not going away
ãúªîìùª   if so
öäæÐÆ ãéõ   (you) may tell me
ë÷ª×   otherwise (if (you) are going away)

ôùªôõ²   return post-haste
ôèȪôèõÐæÐÆ  ãéõ  (you) may narrate to those who are alive

Tell me if you are not going anywhere, but if you
are going,tell that to my survivors (1151).

It is not possible to take at face value the words of comfort (that he would not leave) since separation sometimes does occur (1153).

Can I be blamed for trusting one who departs after
having promised never to do so ? (1154)

If you desire (to save the situation), guard against separation from (your) lover, as otherwise, if he goes away, rare indeed is re-union (1155).

Stop my lord from parting, to stop my life parting from me. Should he leave, I may not be there for him to return to (1155).

ç¨õ¨²ãéõæÐÆ몠  the one who informs of his departure
ôäªæúªúõР Íá¨äª  if he is hard of heart
íõ¨Ê   is not likely (to fructify)

  If he is so hard of heart to tell me that he is leaving, then there is no hope of his return and renewal of his love (1156).

Êé÷ô䪠  my beloved
Ê÷åÐêéë   having left
­÷ª÷èâæèùª   will they not announce
Ëäªéæ   my forearm

¬÷ôè å¨äª÷   attempting to slip
ôéó  the bangles

 
The tight bracelets around my wrist will slip and of themselves proclaim that my lord has left (1157).

¬äªäèÊ ¬ä¨áèõÐçª ç¨õ¨²

¬äªäèÊ   will bring suffering
¬ääª ¬ùª  ÃõÐ  without friends
ôèȪêùª   live in a village
íêä¨Ä몠  more than that
¬äªäèÊ   give suffering
¬ä¨áèõÐ窠 ç¨õ¨²  separation from one's beloved
 


It is hard to live in a village without friends,
but harder still to suffer separation of one's
love (1158).

Fire burns only when touched. But can it burn when
it is away, as love does ? (1159)

íõ¨ÊÍ÷ª÷¨   suffering lover to part
íùªùùª   arising therefrom

ç¨äª   thereafter
¬ÕåÐÊ   putting up with
ôèȪôèõР  (those who) survive
çùõÐ   (are) many
 


Many are those who bear the pangs of separation and survive till the return of the loved one (1160).
