Bless you, Oh evening! you are now no longer like ordinary evenings, but have become a consumer of
the life of a married woman (1221).

O blessed evening! You are also suffering. Like my

The evenings which used to advance hesitantly (when my beloved was with me), now seem to advance boldly to
fill me with suffering (1223).

In the absence of my beloved, evening approaches like
the executioner approaching the condemned prisoner (1224).

I never knew the suffering of the evenings now I experience,the same evening being pleasant when my
beloved had not left me (1226).

¬åÐ îåè᪠  this disease (of love sickness)
 


This love appears as a bud in the morning, opens up
during the day and blossoms into a full passion by
the evening (1227).

âæèùªÙ몠  killing
çéì   army

The shepherd's flute (was sweet music in the evenings when my beloved was with me, but now when he is
away) is burning like fire,one carrying the message about the onset of the evening and a weapon that
kills (1228).

The evening makes me mad as it advances; (if this
goes on further)the village will soon be grieving
for me (1229).

With my beloved away so long in search of wealth,
the stupefying evenings of suffering will soon
end my life (1230).
