â墪îò   O! Mind!
öéäêÐÊ  øäª×ëª  of whatever nature it is
öôªôîåè᪠  this love-sickness causing distress
ê©õÐæÐÆ몠  for curing
ëÕåÐÊ   potion

 

O! Mind! will you not think out and tell me a medicine
to cure this distress-causing love sickness ? (1241)

O! Mind! What foolishness is this that you grieve from here, for him who has no love for me and brought about this agonising love-sickness on me (1243).

æèúùª   when you go to see ( him)
ã÷ª×   for that purpose
 
My eyes which long for him are devouring me; take my eyes with you, O!Mind! when you go to see him (1244).

ã÷èí êôõР  the lover who does not return my love

Even when he does not return my love in equal measure,
do we have the strength to reject him ? (1245)

µùåÐÊãúõè᪠  you will not resent
âçèáªæÐæè᪲   false pretence
æèáªê¨   you exhibit (now, in his absence)
öäª âå¢ªà   O! My Mind!

O! Mind! You will simply rush into the embrace of my
beloved; your present anger is, then just a pretence(1246).

O Mind! give up your love or give up your modesty; I have no strengh to bear with both (1247).

ç¨õ¨åÐêôõР  the one who has forsaken
ç¨äªâòùªôè᪠  you will follow
îçéê   foolishly
öäª âå¢ªà   O! Mind!

 
My husband does not understand my grief at his absence; yet O! Mind! you go after him foolishly (1248).

O!Mind! When my beloved is always within me, of whom
are you going out in search ? (1249)

Êäªäè   without giving company
Ê÷åÐêèéõ   the one who has forsaken
â墪òêÐÊ   in the mind
ãéìîáëè   we have kept
¬äªÄ몠  still
¬ÈêÐÊ몠  we will lose
æô¨äª   beauty

To retain in our mind one who has gone away for good, is only going to make our charm less (1250).
