Í÷è        the path
âæèóªæ       follow
øÕôäªê䪠   â墪òêÐÊ       in their mind
íÇæÐæè×        envy, jealousy
¬ùèê    ¬áùªµ       lives without
 
Let   no   one   entertain   envy   in   his   mind   but   follow   path   of   rectitude.

íÇæÐæè÷ª÷¨äª    íäªéë   free from envy
âç÷¨äª       lives
 
He   who   lives   free   from   envy   towards   others   acquires
qualities   to   which   nothing   else   can   compare.

íÇæÐæ×窠   çè䪠      feels envy
 
He   who   envies   rather   than   rejoices   at   the   wealth   of   others
cannot   attain   virtue   or   wealth.

íÇæÐæè÷ª÷¨äª      due to envy

âòáªáèõР       will not commit
¬ÇæÐæè÷ª÷¨äª       wrong acts
Öê몠       suffering
çÌçèæÐÆ       resulting in
í÷¨åÐÊ      knowing
 
He   will   not   commit   wrong   acts   due   to   envy   who   knows   that
they   result   in   suffering.

íÊòèÙ몠      that is enough
øäªäèõР       enemies
ôÇæÐ樱몠      fail
îæÌ   ¼äª    çÊ           bring harm
 
To   those   who   harbour   envy   that   is   enough.   It   will   bring
harm   even   where   enemies   do   not.

âæèÌçªçÊ       of gifts given to others
íÇæÐæ×çªçè䪠      who is envious
à÷ª÷몠      kith and kin
ãÌçªç­ã몠     clothes
ãúªç­ã몠      food
¬äª÷¨æР       without
âæÌ몠      suffer
 
The   kith   and   kin   of   one   who   is   envious   of   gifts   given
to   others will   suffer   without   food   and   clothes.

íÇæÐæè×   ãéìáèéä  seeing the envious
âòáªáôóª       fortune
êôªéôéáæР      to misfortune
æèìªï      giving way to
ô¨Ì몠      will leave
 
Fortune   disapproves   the   envious   and   will   leave   giving   way   to   misfortune.

íÇæÐæè×     öä       envy
øÕ   çèô¨         sinful nature
ê¨ÕòÐâò÷ª×      destroys wealth
ꩱȨ       hell
ãáªêÐÊ     ô¨Ì몠      takes
 
An   envious   nature   not   only   destroys   wealth   but   also
takes   one   to   hell.

íôªô¨á    â墪òêÐêè䪠     of the envious
ÍæÐæË¢ª      wealth
âòôªô¨áè䪠     of the good
îæÌ몠      poverty
å¨éäæÐæ窠    çÌ몠      thought provoking
   
The   wealthy   state   of   an   envious   man   and   the   poverty   of   the
righteous   is   thought   provoking.

The   envious   have   never   gained   and   those   free   from   envy
have   never   declined   in   prosperity.
