Those   who   perform   action   with   some interested   motive   as   laid   down   in   these three   Vedas   and   drink   the   sap   of   the   Soma
plant,   and   have   thus   been   purged   of   sin, worshipping   Me   through   sacrifices,   seek access   to   heaven;   attaining   Indra's paradise   as   the   result   of   their   virtuous deeds,   they   enjoy   the   celestial   pleasures
of   gods   in   heaven.                                     (20)

gtagtm¯ barØbar janE AanE kaE the state of going and returning

kamkama: BaEgaE| k£ kamnavalE desiring desires

lBÓtE p#açO haEtE hW| attain

vE us ¢vSal ÞvgIlaEk kaE BaEgkr p¤Îy X£N haEnE pr m¦Ïy¤laEk kaE p#açO haEtE hW| , is p#kar t£naE| vEdaE| mE| khE e skam kmI kE SrN h^e BaEgaE| k£ kamnavalE p¤âx barØbar janE AanE kaE p#açO haEtE hW| ,

Having   enjoyed   the   extensive   heaven-world, they   return   to   this   world   of   mortals   when   the stock   of   their   merits   get   exhausted.
Thus   devoted   to   the   ritual   with   interested motive   recommended   by   the   three   Vedas   and seeking   worldly   enjoyments,   they   repeatedly
come   and   go.             (21)

To   devotees   who   constantly   think   of   Me,   and to   those   ever   united   in   thought   with   Me,   I bring   security   and   all   their   needs. (22)

O Kaunteya (Arjuna), even those devotees who, worship other gods with faith, really worship Me alone, though under a mistaken impression. (23)

For I am the enjoyer and also the lord of all sacrifices; but they know Me not in reality, hence they fall (i.e., return to life on earth). (24)

Those who worship the gods go to the gods; those who worship thee manes reach the manes; those who worship the spirits reach
the spirits and those who worship Me come to Me alone. (25)
