O! Delight

O! Rama! The

O! Valiant one! The sons
of Aditi (the gods)
accepted her,
she who was immaculate (42).

by taking the
hand of Varuni |
It is for
this reason that the sons
of Diti came to be
known
as Asuras and
the sons of Aditi came
to be known as Suras.
The gods (Suras)
became glad at heart on
accepting Varuni
and were transported
to high spirits (43).
Note: The
sons of Diti were known
as Daityas i.e. Asuras or
the
wicked ones. The sons of
Aditi were known as Aditeyas,
i.e. the gods.
